World Day Against Child Labor

“A child’s childhood is for learning, don’t use their childhood for earning.”

Today is World Day Against Child Labor, a day to raise awareness about the millions of children around the world who are forced to work in dangerous and exploitative conditions. Child Labor is considered a violation of human rights and a major obstacle to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Celebrating this day aims to direct public awareness for the dangers of child labor, and also serves as a call to eliminate this phenomenon, hand in hand with all institutions concerned with this problem.

يحتفل العالم سنويُا باليوم العالمي لمناهضة عمالة الأطفال، وهو يوم لزيادة الوعي بملايين الأطفال حول العالم الذين يجبرون على العمل في ظروف خطرة. يعتبر عمل الأطفال انتهاكاً لحقوق الإنسان وعقبة رئيسية أمام تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.

ويهدف الاحتفال بهذا اليوم إلى توجيه الوعي العام لمخاطر عمالة الأطفال، كما أنه بمثابة دعوة للقضاء على هذه الظاهرة، جنبًا إلى جنب مع جميع المؤسسات المعنية لحل هذه الأزمة.
